Welcome to Washaaa (“we”, “our”, or “us”). Washaaa is an on-demand car washing platform that connects customers who need their cars washed with professional washers who come to their location.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data — whether you use Washaaa as a Customer or as a Washer.
By using the Washaaa app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Who We Are
Washaaa operates a two-sided marketplace:
- Customers — individuals who request on-site car wash services.
- Washers — independent service providers who accept and fulfill car wash orders.

3. Data We Collect
3.1 Account Information (All Users)
When you create an account, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Profile photo
- City and country
- Password (stored encrypted)
- Google account information (if you sign in with Google)
3.2 Vehicle Information (Customers)
When you add a car to your profile, we collect:
- Car name, model, and color
- License plate number
- Car size (small, medium, large)
- Car photos (front, back, left, right views) — both original and compressed versions
3.3 Location Information
- Customers: You provide a saved service location (address + GPS coordinates) where you want your car washed. This is stored and reused for future orders.
- Washers: We collect your real-time GPS location while you are active on the platform. This is used to match you with nearby orders and to show customers your live position as you travel to their car.
3.4 Order & Service Photos
For every completed order, we collect:
- Before photos (4 angles of the car before washing)
- After photos (4 angles of the car after washing)
These photos are taken by the washer and are used for quality assurance and dispute resolution.
3.5 Payment & Financial Information
- Customers: Payment is processed via PayPal. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Washers: We collect your preferred withdrawal method and related details:
- PayPal email address
- Bank account details (bank name, account number, routing number, account holder name) if bank transfer is selected
- Earnings history and balance records
3.6 Communications
- Chat messages exchanged between customers and washers through the in-app chat.
- Notification preferences and device tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens) for push notifications.
3.7 Identity Verification (Washers Only)
Washers may be asked to submit identity documents for account verification. These are stored securely.
3.8 Usage Data
App usage logs, device information, and interaction timestamps (order dates, validation times, etc.)

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
6. Location Data
Location is central to how Washaaa works:
- Customer saved locations are stored to avoid re-entering addresses on every order.
- Washer real-time location is collected while a washer is on an active order. This location is:
- Shared with the customer who placed the order so they can track arrival.
- Used to find the closest available washer for new orders.
- Not continuously stored after the order is completed.
Washers can stop sharing their location by going offline in the app.
7. Photos and Media
- Car photos you upload are stored on our servers.
- Before/after service photos are taken by the washer and stored per order.
- Profile photos are stored and displayed to other users within the platform.
- Photos are used for service quality, dispute resolution, and customer review.
We do not use your photos for advertising or share them outside the platform without your consent.
8. Push Notifications
We send push notifications for:
- Order accepted, started, or completed
- New message from washer or customer
- Washer earnings and fund availability
- Order expiration or alerts
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Note that disabling notifications may mean you miss important order updates.
9. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Data is retained as long as your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: When you delete your account, we perform a soft delete. Your personal identifiers (email, phone) are anonymized immediately so others can reuse them. However, your historical data (orders, transactions) is retained for legal and financial compliance purposes.
- Order photos: Retained for a reasonable period for dispute resolution purposes.
- Chat messages: Retained as part of order history.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and request anonymization of your data
- Withdraw consent for optional data uses (e.g., marketing emails)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to certain types of processing

11. Data Security
We implement security measures including:
- Encrypted passwords (never stored in plain text)
- HTTPS encrypted communications
- Secure database access controls
- JWT-based authentication with token expiry
However, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to log out after using shared devices.
12. Children's Privacy
Washaaa is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that a user under 18 has created an account, we will delete that account and its associated data promptly.
